Pilanesberg National Park is set in eroded remains of a 1, 2 billion year old volcanic crater. The Park, which covers some 55 000 hectare, is the fourth largest game reserve in Southern Africa and is situated about 180km northwest of Pretoria. This malaria free park plays host to 360 bird species, the nocturnal brown hyena, cheetah, hippo, crocodile and the much sought after “Big 5”.

We depart Joburg / Pretoria @ 8 am. After a 2 hour drive we arrive @ Sun City with enough time to enjoy all the thrills Sun City has on offer. Late afternoon we board our safari vehicles that takes us into the bush for 3 hours searching for the "Big 5" returning early evening
We return back to get back to Joburg @ approx 9 pm
