Itinerary
Day 1: Johannesburg - Khama Rhino Sanctuary, Botswana
We depart in the early hours of the morning. We have around a 4-5-hour drive towards the Botswana Border, so do keep the passports nearby. After crossing the border, we still have another 2.5-hour drive before we reach Khama Rhino Sanctuary.
After setting up camp, this afternoon you will have a chance to embark on an optional afternoon/night game drive around the park to see some of the amazing animals that Africa has, plus a high chance of finding and learning about the well-known but extremely endangered White and Black Rhinos.
The night will be enjoyed around a camp fire while we have a traditional South Africa Braai, known to others around the world as a BBQ.

Day 2: Khama Rhino – Maun, Botswana
Waking early to see the sunrise and another chance to do an optional morning game drive before we depart after breakfast for Maun. Maun is a town on the Thamalakane River in northern Botswana. It's the jumping-off point for the vast inland Okavango Delta.
Today's drive is about 6 hours as we make our way north west through Botswana passing on the fringe of the Kalahari Desert and the Makgadikgadi Pans with a possible chance to see free roaming Elephants along the road.
Late afternoon we check in and set up camp for the night, dinner is for own account.

Day 3: Included Okavango Delta Excursion, Botswana
Today the real adventure starts. Where we spend a night in the Okavango Delta on one of the many islands there. This is a perfect way to enter the delta and truly experience the local way of life and to get close to the magic and the beauty that the delta has to offer.
You will be transferred to the Mokoro station either by 4 x 4 or on the Boro River by motorboat, this is depending on water levels in the Delta. Arriving at the Mokoro station by the cattle fence where the delta officially starts. You will meet a team of qualified community guides and transfer your supplies to the Mokoros (Dugout Canoe). They will pole you around on the many myriad water channels looking for wildlife and the large variety of birds which inhabit the Delta.
It is truly a wilderness experience. There are no facilities except for a bush toilet set up out there as you camp on an island chosen by your guide. In the late afternoon once the heat subsides, you embark on a bush walk to learn more about the Delta and to see what animal life we can find on foot.

Day 4: Maun, Botswana
It’s always a thrill waking up in the morning in the Delta to see what has passed through camp at night. After a morning coffee you will set off for a morning bush walk. Returning back at the island where you camped for breakfast and putting down the temporary camp. Leaving nothing but footprints behind.
In the afternoon once you arrive back to the lodge you set off from yesterday morning. Time to have a hot shower and enjoy lunch. Later in the afternoon you will have the chance to take a scenic flight over the Delta or simply relax by the swimming pool taking in the last few days.

Day 5: Maun - Elephant Sands Lodge, Nata, Botswana
We depart Maun after breakfast heading towards Nata where we will be staying 50km north at Elephants Sands, the place where Elephants Rule. Elephant Sands is a bush lodge & campsite in the north-eastern part of Botswana. We enjoy viewing the elephants at the waterhole right in front of the lodge. Watch these impressive creatures whilst they drink only a couple of meters away from you, a unique experience! There is plenty of other wildlife around as well on the unfenced 16000 ha private conservancy. The lack of fences allows all animals to roam freely.

Day 6: Elephant Sands - Kasane, Chobe River Front, Botswana
After breakfast and any last morning activities. We depart to Kasane to visit Chobe National Park. The journey to Kasane is 250 km or mere 3 hours’ drive. This afternoon ends with a leisurely boat cruise which allows us an up close and personal experience with the many elephants and other animals that frequent the river in the afternoons.

Day 7: Kasane, Chobe River Front, Botswana
This morning rise early before sunrise for coffee and rusks to partake in an optional morning 4 x 4 game drive safari or half-day 4 x 4 safari in Chobe National Park. In the afternoon you can board a boat on the Chobe River to view Elephants, Hippos and Crocodiles up close as well as many varieties of bird species. Alternatively have a relaxing afternoon.

Day 8: Kasane - Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe
Today we have a short drive after breakfast to Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe. We do have a border crossing so keep the passports close by and a warm smile.
Upon arrival in the adventure capital Victoria Falls we will get you orientated with the small town and get ready to book activities for the upcoming days.
There is a lot to do in Victoria Falls with a big variety of activities on offer.
Ranging from Adrenalin Bridge activities to River Activities as well as Helicopter flips over the Falls and Safaris are on offer in Hwange National Park.
